Why BMW Factory Scheduled Maintenance Matters

Staying current on scheduled maintenance helps protect reliability, performance, and long-term ownership costs. It also gives us the opportunity to identify developing concerns before they become larger repairs.

Condition Based Service (CBS)

Modern BMWs use Condition Based Service to track maintenance needs based on time, mileage, and vehicle-specific service data. We review the CBS information along with the car’s actual condition, history, and how it is driven.

Inspection I & Inspection II

Older BMWs may follow the traditional Inspection I and Inspection II maintenance schedule instead of CBS. These services were designed as broader mileage- and time-based checkpoints, so we follow the requirements appropriate to the specific chassis and generation.

BMW maintenance has evolved over the years, from traditional Inspection I and II schedules to modern Condition Based Service. We review your BMW’s mileage, age, service history, onboard maintenance data, and how the vehicle is actually used to determine what it needs now, what’s coming up, and what may deserve attention beyond the dashboard reminder.
